How to write a blog article with 10 points
You keep a blog, but your articles Are not the desired success?
I've created a complete guide to change that. This guide aims to teach you how to write successful blog articles.
When we start blogging, a question often comes back: but how do we write an effective blog article? I mean, what does it work? Really. Who will make internet users love our content.
Well, having and implementing a strategy seems indispensable to me to achieve this. A global mink of what we do, where we go and who we target. This is what we will see in this guide.
In reality, one can rarely determine in advance the success of a blog post. What we can do is apply a method which will maximize the chances.
Articles are the nerve of war in blogging. Everyone knows that.
What not everyone knows, however, is to write good blog posts.
What do I say? Excellent articles!
And that's pretty good news, actually.
Because it gives you the free field to differentiate yourself from the mass. See to massacre the competition. I mean, if you know how to do it!
Are you ready to write your first blog post that will launch you once and for all on the track of success?
Good, 'cause we start right now!

Define the topic and purpose of your article: establish a content strategy
If you want to pack with your blog articles, you will have to find topics that are of interest to the world. It may seem obvious but, I see a lot of beginner bloggers posting on « everything and nothing ». It's a waste of time.
In short, to find them there are several methods.
The first, it is to inspire content that works very well in your competitors.
In concrete terms, it will be a quick search for the most commented and shared articles in their home.
Once identified, it's about making a list and writing it to your sauce, adding much more value than theirs.
I know it can be difficult, especially when you feel like you've already gone around the subject fifteen times.
For having experienced it, by forcing me to do this exercise, I always find myself having ideas that my colleagues did not think of.
Sometimes it takes me an extra day of writing, but it's worth it.
The second, it is to be aware of the currentity of your topic to write an interesting article.
I particularly appreciate this method.
It regularly feeds your blog with content (depending on your theme) and also allows you to position yourself as a reference in this area.
How to find crisp news?
- Twitter. Follow as many people as possible from your theme. In particular bloggers and influencers. Also follow companies linked to your domain. The discussions that take place there can be covered in articles, to work on the subject.
- Activate Google Alerts. Just go to this address: https://www.google.com/alerts and add strategic keywords. Each time you post on the web linked to your keywords, you will receive an email.
The third, it is to write an article providing a solution to a problem. For example: "How I lost belly with a simple and effective technique in 21 days".
People love this kind of article.
And we understand why! They are often very interesting because they describe a person's integral journey towards an objective until it is achieved.
Inspired.
Problem: you will probably not be able to write tons of similar articles of this kind. Yes, for this kind of article, you must have lived it. So if you can write some similar articles, Put the package in it.
Anyway, I invite you to use these 3 methods to find topics that are really relevant to your articles.
Type of magnetic articles
What if I told you that there are formats of articles that are more cardboard than others? What if you use them, you could greatly increase your chances of unleashing the reactions of others?
I made you a list, without a specific order, that you might well follow in your next article:
- List article. These articles usually simply list X things on a specific topic, with a brief presentation of each item. For example: XX tools to use as a blogger.
- The article Ultimate Guide. When they are good, these articles can literally generate a lot of reactions and sharing.
- Article Checklist. Very much appreciated by everyone, these articles present a list of things to do to ensure the proper conduct of an action. For example: the ultimate checklist before publishing its article.
- Article Statistics. In concrete terms, this is an article presenting the figures of a study. If they are written in a playful way, with first of all some conclusions on a few figures, no doubt about the fact that they become very appreciated.
- Survey article. We start by creating a survey and then drawing public conclusions that will be useful to all. This can make us realize a number of things that would not be suspected of being basic. Very interesting.
So here's the list of magnetic items. Why magnetic?
Simply because their formats alone are often enough to generate reactions and sharing. We are generally fond of these content!
Create content evergreen and news
If you wish make your blog known in the simplest way, writing news articles will help you a lot. Whatever your field, it is quite possible that there are some news from time to time.
Well, publish on it. Write your opinion on the subject. What are these changes? What will they change, bring? This kind of article is eaten for actors in all sectors of activity.
The ideal then is to put your deepest articles, your pillar articles, under the nose to make them discover your expertise. As effective for a corporate blog as for a freelancer.
Find a catchy Title
Now that you have a subject that is passionate about the crowds, you need a title at its height.
A title that sends it. Hanging.
Because yes, write blog article on a topic that has potential is cool. But still it is necessary to create interest through a title that will kill your potential readers from curiosity.
I'll make it short because I know your time is running out.
Overall, a title must meet these three criteria:
- He has to stir up curiosity.
- It must be clear
- He must announce what we will learn, what he will bring us
You can possibly draw on these examples:
- The secret to [Benefit] in [X] days
- The [X] steps for [Benefit] (structure used for this article)
- The sad truth sure [subject]
- Here's how quickly [Benefit] without [stressing]
- The Ultimate Guide to [Benefit]
- The worst [subject] to do [Benefit] or [stressing]
In concrete terms, if you follow this methodology, your chances of bringing the world to your publications will be greatly increased. It's a certainty.
Write an introduction to thunder, to scotch your readers
You have the subject and now his title.
People will click. That's cool. But work does not stop there (really ??).
Now they have to stay. And that role is attributed to your introduction.
What is an effective introduction??
In concrete terms, it is a short and convincing introduction. She's supposed to make you want to read more.
No need to stern on 20 lines, 4 to 5 lines maximum should do it. We should not lose the attention of our readers. Let us not forget that they are here for a specific purpose: to get what you promised them in your title.
How to write an effective introduction?
- Start by writing, story-telling, the reason for this article. For example, it can start with "I've been trying to become [X] for years. That today you got what you were aiming for and you're going to explain to them how to do it."
- Use suspense to keep your readers' attention. Don't say too much from the beginning. It is important to ensure that reading your article is an experience for your readers.
- If you can, add evidence. Screenshots of your results, photos of you before/after, etc. This will legitimize you even more in your remarks. This is an excellent way to increase the level of interest your readers will have.
By following these 3 steps, you greatly increase your chances of giving your readers the urge to read more.
I dig the subject much deeper into my eBook dedicated to this article. Especially with case studies and real examples.
Working his style to differentiate
Having style makes a difference. No one can claim otherwise.?
If it's true in speaking clothes, it's also written.
I think there is no more boring reading than a monotonous text, without style and taste.
That's what you owe at all costs. avoid.
Work your style. Find your way to put the words and make your readers dream.
How?
Using these few techniques:
- Read articles and books that please you, written by people like you and whose work inspires you.
- Write, often, and in a way to instill emotions (if it is part of your nature, it will be even simpler).
- Stop the rehearsals. Use tools (such as synonymymo) to find synonyms.
- Don't forget that you're talking to humans....not robots! So try to write texts that are pleasant to read. And even if your goal is to position yourself on Google. One does not prevent the other.
- Use storytelling to travel your readers.
- Be critical of yourself. It's important to improve.
If you do this work, no doubt you will gradually develop your style. Gradually, your readers will become familiar with your writings and appreciate them more.
One day they can even recognize you with your pen!
In short, in addition to helping you create a link with your readers, working your style will make you a blogger or a separate writer. Unique.
And to go further in the work of your branding, do not miss for this blog post: How to write a page about effective?
Use Story-telling to captivate your readers
In this chapter, I am not going to talk to you about "raw structure" of blog article as I have already done in my article "The 7 mistakes not to make for his blog articles".
Currently, I intend to talk to you about the "structure of runoff" (I will patent this name).
What is it?
To drive your reader through your article, so as not to lose his attention.
The goal is to make your reader feel like a movie: he is following the story smoothly, without having the impression of making any effort.
In concrete terms, this is a complex subject which I will try to sum up in a clear way.
And to make it happen, I made you a very good little scheme:
Illustration from my eBook « The Art of Writing Blog Articles that Cardboard »
It is actually about building your article as we would for a story.
Every story begins with a protagonist, in a situation X, aiming at a situation Y. Well, some stories "fall" on our heroes but, you understand the idea.
Try to structure your best articles in this way and you will see that your readers will spend much more time on your site reading your articles.
Your conversions will most likely increase if you sell something.
Anyway, knowing how to write is good. But to get to a quality blog post, adding storytelling is a demented advantage.
Structure your blog article
The structure of a blog article should not be overlooked.
Generally, this is something that many bloggers master. But if you start, I think it's relevant that I talk about it in this article (which is supposed to be an ultimate guide!).
In concrete terms, this is about structuring your information. This includes the structure of your titles.
Did you know that it is possible to organize your titles with HTML tags, commonly called « H1, H2, H3... H6 » ?
Well, now you know that.
Not only are they useful to your readers who will more easily identify important chapters of your publications, but also for search engines, which will be able to analyze important elements of your texts more easily.
It is simply an aspect of web writing that needs to be in mind and mastered.
These tags are ranked in order of importance. A title in H1 will have more weight than a title in H2.
And it will also feel visually, as most websites will display H1 titles larger than other titles. Same as the H2s will be larger than the H3, and so on.
Thus, one does not hierarchy his titles at random. Ideally, an H3 should not succeed an H1 but an H2.
To make it easier to see, here is a very good picture:

As you can see in this image, there is only one H1 in this structure. Even if Google says that adding more than one step would not cause any impact in terms of referencing, it is usual to create only one page per page. But it's up to you.
Anyway, you can usually create titles easily, regardless of the blogging tool you use.
Just think of creating a structure with common sense.
Think SEO: Write for Natural SEO
You've heard of it before, haven't you? The SEO is the first channel to acquire Internet traffic.
And for cause! Search engines (especially Google's) are the first reflex of almost all when you need precise information. Your future prospects and customers do not deviate from this trend.
But then, how to become visible on Google and thus attract Internet users? By understanding what search engines expect about your content.
In concrete terms and to make it simple (the subject of this article is not the SEO), Google wants content that is relevant, of quality and that really responds to the search intent of users.
If you can add more original content (images, videos, podcast...), it's a real plus. Google will appreciate all the more.
To do this, I have prepared an article plan, so that you can optimize this part of your publications. Here it is:
- Determine the main keyword targeted by your publication (also called « request »).
- Analyze information processed by your competitors (by searching Google).
- Take what comes back most often and write on it by adding added value.
- Think about what you could add, using your expertise.
- Create a relevant title structure with a consistent hierarchy, such as this example (see also image of the previous chapter):
- H1
- H2
- H3
- H2
- H2
- H1
- Fill in tags Title and meta Optimized description:
- Your main keyword must absolutely appear in your Title and encourage click (to improve your CTR)
- Your meta description must encourage click (again to improve your CTR)
You have understood, it is a question of putting in place actions of content marketing.
Lay out his article, so that it is pleasant to read
Everyone likes pictures.
Even more when they illustrate your words effectively.
They also allow to air your text. Useful not to lose the attention of your readers therefore.
And as an image is worth a thousand words, here is a comparison of an article without images, and the same article, with this time images:

We're okay, right? The illustrated article is much more attractive than the one that is not. It gives much more desire to be read.
In fact, I think we should remember that we are not writing for a book, but for the web. The expectations of readers of these two worlds are therefore quite different.
Of course, don't hesitate to vary the media used to illustrate your articles. Some time ago, I was a big fan of GIF in my articles. Use in particular:
- GIF
- Illustration images
- Infographics
It's an excellent way to pass emotions, to be more didactic, etc. Your readers will appreciate your publications more.
Encourage and Facilitate the Sharing of Your Blog Articles
So that your readers can share your content, give them the tools they need.
On your blog, it means adding « Sharing boxes » on your articles. Very visible.
On Addict Blog For example, I display this sharing bar under my articles:

It is enough for anyone to click on one of these buttons to share the blog post in question on their favorite social network.
I also added a floating sharing box on the left side of my items.
You can also add them easily thanks to WordPress plugins Elementor (although the pro version may be needed) and Sassy Social Share.
Finish with a useful Conclusion
Conclusion is an important part of your article. It contributes to its success.
What is a successful conclusion in my opinion?
Well, a conclusion should synthesize the content of your publication in a simple and clear way.
We need to understand the content of your article by simply reading its conclusion.
If possible, add Emotion.
This can be done in different ways.
For example, for an article on personal development, a conclusion might end with a sentence that tries to reassure or motivate its readers.
You could also place an CTA there to encourage them to take action.
If I were to summarize, a good conclusion should be:
- Summary of important points of the article, in the form of a list is a plus
- Infusing emotion
- Encourage readers to perform an action
Conclusion to write a blog article that will hit
